We exist to improve the lives of Kenyan farmers
Kenya Livestock Producers Association (KLPA) was formed in 2004 as an apex association for all livestock producers in Kenya. It draws its membership from individual farmers, farmer groups, cooperative societies, Self Help Groups, Community Based Organizations and corporate organizations in livestock agribusiness. The current membership stands at more than 1,500,000 farmers spread all over Kenya.
KLPA has participated in lobbying and advocacy on livestock policies and represented the interests of livestock farmers by being a member of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Agricultural Industrial Network (AIN), Agriculture Council of Kenya (AgCK) and Kenya Agribusiness & Agro- industry Alliance (KAAA).

Our mission is to ensure improved livelihoods of Livestock producers by wide association through formulation of appropriate policy, stimulating reforms, promoting good livestock husbandry and production, collecting and disseminating useful information and promoting the general interests of members.

KLPA is founded
KLPA is founded as the apex association for livestock producers in Kenya.
2008
Agribusiness trade fairs
KLPA conducts its 1st ever agribusiness trade fair. Since then 308 trade fairs have been organized across Kenya.
2014
10th Anniversary
KLPA celebrates its 10th Anniversary.
2014
Airtel Kilimo Platform
In partnership with Airtel Kenya and Mobipay rolled out the platform where farmers accessed vital agricultural / Livestock information via mobile phones using Airtel lines.
2017
NEALCO
Successfully founded North Eastern Africa Livestock Council (NEALCO) & hosted the 1st Regional Livestock Conference and Exhibition

KLPA partners with Safaricom and other partners to roll out DigiFarm.
